Introduction:

Mediation is a voluntary and confidential process facilitated by a neutral third party (the mediator) who assists the disputing parties to negotiate a jointly acceptable resolution of the dispute. To the contrary of litigation or arbitration, the disputing parties control the outcome which is mutually satisfactory (win/win result).

 

This workshop is designed to offer you a comprehensive and practical introduction to business mediation. After two days, attendees will have gained the necessary knowledge to enable them to deal confidently with the commercial disputes and to solve them through mediation techniques.

  • Master practical mediation techniques through several practical cases and role play.

  • Become familiar with the different stages of mediation including the so-called "caucus"

  • Learn the differences between mediation, arbitration and conciliation.

  • Identify the potential risks presented by international commercial agreements. and limit the areas of potential claims through mediation
