Course Description and Objective

    Good communication is the lifeblood of organizations. No matter how you communicate, which language you use, or which channel you choose, your purpose is always to convey a clear comprehendible message to your recipients. Good communicators use it to handle information and improve relations.

This course is about the art of getting your message across effectively.  You need to develop your communication skills to be able to communicate with ease and confidence. A vital aspect of communication is understanding body language. Therefore, the course will allow you to evaluate how well you are at communicating and help you to consolidate and build on new skills.

 Course Content

 

Module 1: Communication Skills Development

-Defining communication and identifying its major functions

-Discussing the communication process

-Differentiating between verbal versus nonverbal communication

-Clarifying the different communication techniques

-Identifying the major communication barriers

- Illustrating the basic attributes of an effective communicator

Module 2: Body Language

 

- Discovering why body language is an important mode of communication

- Reading and interpreting signals of others

- Conquering nerves  § Keeping your distance

- Using body language to increase your personal impact

- Using body language to build rapport with others

- Applying body language to help control tension and conflict

 

BY the end of this program participants will be able to:

Understand how to capitalize on their communication strengths, adjust to accommodate their weaknesses, effectively use office communication tools, and better handle difficult people.

 

Target Audience:

This program is designed for managers, sales staff, account managers and anyone else who wishes to expand and refine their communication techniques.
